ART EXPERIMENTATION
For my independent re-selling job, I have created somewhat of a brand for myself including a logo and business/ thank you cards that I put into every package I ship out.
I keep something I like to call a "doodle diary" that I draw in nearly every night. It's a place for me to be freely creative and draw whatever comes to mind.
My first art class was a drawing class where I got to experiment with charcoal drawing. This nude drawing was one of my favorites.
I have also had experience with oil painting. The top painting is based on a photo I took in Florence, Italy where I added a giant snake slithering up a column for an interesting juxtaposition. The bottom painting is a monochromatic portrait of my best friend. She was going through some rough times, so I asked to capture the moment through painting.
Using Fusion 365 I designed a 3D print of a dragon skeleton. This was a very new exciting experience for me in a class outside of my comfort zone. After finishing my design I used the Shop Bot to print it; I am very pleased with the outcome and the gained experience of working with new software and 3D printing.
I've added some designs from my art instagram account that I did for fun. The first, Black Lives Matter graphic I created shortly after George Floyd's death as my way to get involved and show support. The green coffee table book above was inspired by the show Seinfeld where the character, Kramer invents a coffee table book about coffee tables that also turns into a coffee table. Lastly, I made a cover for one of my favorite music playlists called "chillin."
